Task 13 |
How do you know whether you are successfully completing the tasks allocated to you?
Feedback from colleagues, supervisors and clients play an important role in you job.
Feedback is a measure of how well you have completed a task or tasks compared to the organisation's standards.
Feedback can be:
informal
formal eg: performance appraisal, which includes firstly feedback, secondly modification, and lastly re-evaluation

Organisational Standards
Remember: Feedback to workers is designed to :-
inform workers of their good performance
help poorly performing workers so they can modify and re-evaluate their work practices
This means that workers' performance has to be measured against some form of standard - either the organisations or an accepted industrial standard.
Every office is expected to conform to regulations set out by the Standards Association of Australia. www.standards.com.au
You may have already discovered this site in other units of this course.
For example:
There are International Standards for Quality Systems that include Customer Service. This is relevant to office workers,
Standards for envelopes with POP (Post office Preferred) symbol,
Standards for ergonomic furniture in the office.
