Chemical	can be in the form of dust, fumes, smoke, liquids, vapours. can interfere with breathing, corrode the eyes and skin, be flammable, cause an allergic reaction, be toxic.	provide exhaust ventilation have safe work practices that ensure safe handling of gas / vapour emissions. wear or use protective equipment train staff in their use.
Physical	this includes temperature, humidity, ventilation, lighting, electricity, work practices, ergonomics (OOS - RSI), handling & lifting objects.	air in an office should be fresh and circulating - air conditioning can assist. lighting should be from sides of desks and even to avoid glare use of sound absorbing furniture & moving noisy equipment can reduce noise. correct manual handling procedures to be used.
Psychological	often appears in the form of stress or depression can cause sleepless nights, inability to complete work tasks, uncommunicative, not being able to delegate.	using relaxation methods improving level of fitness through a healthy diet and exercise planning and time management delegating tasks communicating work places can also introduce strategies to improve the coping strategies of staff through team building
Ergonomic	furniture is designed to take into account the needs of the worker OOS (Occupational Overuse Syndrome) and RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) workstations, posture, work practices need to be taken into account.	regular breaks that include some form of exercise use of ergonomic furniture and equipment to help keyboard operators correct posture for keyboard operations
