To complete this task, you will need to have access to:

a photocopier and a shredder
or
a binder
or
a laminator
or
a computer and printer

Be sure you complete the task under supervision. This might be a teacher or an office worker.

Part A

You have been given the job of collating and printing 2 copies of a booklet for Swaggies: 'The Spanish Collection'. To do this you will need to use various functions of a photocopier. It is important to mention that photocopiers vary, most should be able to do the following functions.

Check the Swaggies procedures on using photocopiers (p35)

  • leads secured so people don't trip over them
  • power turned off at the wall before removing power plug
  • if it's the end of the day, switch off equipment or put in stand-by mode

  • locate manufacturer's Users Manual

 

2.   Produce the booklet: 'Swaggies: The Spanish Collection' using the following guidelines. It may be a good idea to print off these guidelines to keep you on task.

 

To print off the original pages

  • click on the image

  • the document will open in Word

  • print out document ready for photocopying

 

Photocopying Guidelines: you might find it helpful to print out these guidelines.

 

To print guidelines:

The cover needs to be printed on coloured cardboard (if available) Pages of the booklet need to be collated - this will depend on the functions on your photocopier. It is most likely you photocopier will not collate the whole booklet including the cardboard covers. Some machines, however will and you will need to discuss this with your supervisor
Page 2 needs to be enlarged to fit the page
Pages 2 - 7 will be back to back (double sided)
Page 8: the Purchase Order Form needs to be duplicated: 2 copies and to be single sided when collated in the book
Print 2 copies of the cover and p 2 - 9. Collate
Secure the booklet by stapling OR going to Part B and binding the booklet

 

Part B

There are 2 options here. Choose only ONE.

 

In both options be sure to go through the OHS checklist (click here) before using the equipment. A supervisor should be present.

 

Option 1:

If you have access to a binder, bind the 2 booklets and send them to your teacher.

Option 2:

If you have any doubts about what is required, contact your teacher
