Their Sales Team has just had a planning session where the promotion of the Pansy of the Year and other new pansy varieties was discussed. You have been given the job of preparing the brochure that will be sent out to retailers (nurseries) by June 4

Question 1.

Planning and establishing the goals of the task are the key to this meeting. A teamwork approach and your role as team leader need to be established early.

 

Question 2.

  1. Breaking the job into smaller tasks

  2. Discussing ideas on presentation and content

  3. Allocating tasks to team members

  4. Setting timeframes and deadlines

  5. Deciding on what resources will be needed and allocating these resources (

  6. eg. time, money - a budget, equipment, staff)

Your level of experience, knowledge, skills and initiative would be useful. You are probably a good communicator and are able to motivate and organise others.

Deadlines will need to be met. One person's task is likely to depend on other team members completing their tasks. Any delay by one member will hold up the whole production and can affect over-all quality of the final product.

In the same way as Q5. However, as a team leader, they will expect you to know what each team member is doing, be able to help / solve any problems that arise, conduct regular formal and informal meetings and ensure all team members are working towards the goal.
